A New Blog to Read...

Recently I've started reading a new blog, Passionate Homemaking. I've really enjoyed her posts on simplifying life and home. She inspired me recently to sort through our toy collection and PURGE the excess. Boy that feels good! I've been rotating Audrey's toys every few months, and she only played with about half the stuff that was out anyway. So...check out this blog for a fun (well, practical at least,) giveaway going on today.

And the Winner is...

Lori! (Results courtesy of a random number generator at www.random.org.)

I decided I had to pick a runner-up winner, as well, for having the story that made me and Tim laugh the loudest, and for having the most total points, (she should, for having 5 kids under the age of 6, I think.) So the second place prize will go to Sarah, for graciously dealing with her son "whipping it out" in the Target check-out lane and "going" all over the floor.

Thank you all for commenting! I laughed out loud at many of your stories. If you haven't had a chance to read the other comments from the previous post, take a minute to do so. I had no idea how many people have pumped and/or breastfed a baby WHILE DRIVING! Seriously!?!? I am SO not that coordinated.

Lori will receive a copy of a book that I blogged a review about awhile back, Created to be His Helpmeet, by Debi Pearl. Reading this book made me a better wife, and in return, a better mom as well. I am convinced that as mothers, one of the bests gifts we can give our children is a healthy relationship with our husband. Plus, the book is just full of helpful advice and suggestions on how to manage a home well, something that we as mothers are continually striving for!

Sarah will receive a copy of "Praying for my Husband," a little daily prayer calendar that I put together shortly after Tim and I got married, because frankly I needed a little direction! (I got tired of asking God to simply "be with him," each day, and knew I could be going deeper.) Again, hopefully this will be an encouragement both to her husband and to her kids!

Thanks again to all of you for reading, commenting, and contributing. Enjoy those kiddos today...through the good and the bad moments, as well as the messy & the clean! :)
